PROJECTS HELPING VULNERABLE PEOPLE
DOCTORS OF THE WORLD, LONDON CLINIC
Doctors of the World runs a clinic and advocacy programme in east London that provides medical care, information and practical support to vulnerable people, helping them access the healthcare they need. They also run a pilot programme in Hackney for residents of Hackney and the City of London.
The clinics are run by volunteer doctors, nurses and support workers who provide information and basic short-term healthcare to excluded people across the UK, such as vulnerable migrants, sex workers and people with no fixed address.
Volunteers at the clinic in east London, both medical and non-medical, provide care, support and advocacy for some of societies most excluded people, helping them access mainstream health services.
