For over 15 years, Richmond Pharmacology has delivered clinical excellence from design to delivery of early phase clinical trials, going from strength to strength in a fiercely competitive market place.
Having recently undertaken a £5 million redevelopment of its flagship London headquarters, they are looking for doctors with good clinical skills and the capacity to apply sound clinical knowledge and judgement to join their close-knit team, headed by the Medical Director who is also a Fellow of both the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
We have an opportunity for a knowledgeable and ambitious GMC registered doctor to make a noticeable impact within a world-renowned clinical research organisation working with a varied group of international biotechnology and pharmaceutical clients.
Our doctors work across a range of clinical trials involving both healthy and patient volunteers. The team of doctors contribute to original research, developing a skill set that includes protocol development and data analysis and reporting. Through this multi-faceted role and the training provided, our doctors are given the opportunity to present at national and international meetings, allowing them to build their research toolkit.
As a Research Physician you will join a close knit team, headed by our Medical Director who is a Fellow both of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and of the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
Specific clinical training will be provided from the outset of your employment and ongoing training is offered throughout your time at Richmond Pharmacology. Candidates are offered the opportunity to register with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and complete PMST (Our Principal Investigators are both registered educational supervisors and take an active role in your training), funded by Richmond Pharmacology. Beyond PMST there are opportunities to obtain post graduate qualifications including an MSc and a PhD in clinical pharmacology.
You will be based in our central London, state-of-the-art facility, at a clinical site that has been synonymous with cutting edge clinical research for over 30 years. In the last few years our facility has undergone a £5 million redevelopment ensuring the facility matches the excellence of our teams.
We are looking for a doctor with good clinical skills and the capacity to apply sound clinical knowledge and judgement. Your previous training should include at least 2 years post Foundation Training experience, or experience working as a Specialty Registrar.

This role will enable successful candidates to further develop the skills required for a career in clinical research. You will be given in depth training to support your transition from a clinical role within the NHS into the private sector, as well as ongoing development throughout your career at Richmond Pharmacology.
Furthermore, the opportunity exists for candidates who have completed core training (or equivalent) to register with the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine and complete the PMST.
Candidates’ current experience should include 2 years post FY2 or experience working as a specialty registrar.
