National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow Scheme 2020-21 –Applications Now Open

The Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM) has announced that applications are now open for the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow Scheme 2020/21.

THE FELLOWSHIP

The scheme provides doctors in training with the unique opportunity to spend one year working with senior leaders and teams in leading national healthcare-affiliated organisations to develop skills in:

  • Policy development
  • Leadership and management
  • Team working
  • Project management
  • Research
  • Understanding complex systems and systems

Fellows are immersed at the centre of organisations such as NHS England and NHS Improvement, Health Education England, the Care Quality Commission, Bupa, NICE and the GMC. The scheme is sponsored by NHS England and NHS Improvement’s National Medical Director and is managed by the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM).

ELIGIBILITY

The National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow scheme is open to doctors in training from all specialties with full GMC registration that have completed foundation training and have not gained CCT before 1 September 2020.
