Job Summary

This is an exciting and newly created role allowing the successful individual to shape and drive our strategic educational and training activities with our customers across UKI.

This is an opportunity to transform how we educate customers through a multi-channel approach and customise journeys based on customers educational needs.

You will be responsible for developing training and educational events to demonstrate ConvaTec’s leadership in Wound Care and to deliver optimal patient care aligned with strategy.

You will also be responsible for KOL engagement, partnering and further developing relationships based on shared interests.

Duties And ResponsibilitiesEngagement:

  • Develop and build strong relationships with KOLs, congress leads and patient organisations engaging them where appropriate for advisory boards, education, activities and congress
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with global marketing departments and the UKI Wound Care internal functions – marketing, sales, clinical, regulatory, legal, finance

Strategic planning:

  • Responsible for developing a cross portfolio strategic plan and operational plan complimenting the brand plans aligned to customer education needs, congress & KOL engagement
  • Manage annual brand DPE budget for education and congress activities


  • Transform and tailor how we educate and train customers to customise training and working closely with the brand teams to develop customer experience flows
  • Embed education initiatives with the field team to support them and their customers
  • Lead customer education initiatives with KOLs (face-to-face and virtual) to drive greater knowledge of our wound care portfolio and wound care management aligned to strategy
  • Lead customer training initiatives aligned to strategy to improve use of our wound care products resulting in optimising patient care
  • Develop tools/materials with customers to optimise wound care for patients and demonstrating ConvaTec’s leadership in wound care aligned to strategy
  • Own and maintain KPIs to ensure effective training/education driving customer value and engagement


  • Congress lead, from booth design to symposium/customer engagement activities leveraging internal stakeholders to maximise large customer facing activities

You will be mainly working remotely, however some travel (around 20%) will be required within the UKI ie. Customer meetings, sales conferences, internal meetings, field visits with sales team etc.

About You:

  • Proven track record for develop and delivering training and/or educational events within medical devices (ideally medical consumables) and/or pharmaceuticals
  • Experience of managing congress activities and symposiums within medical devices (ideally medical consumables) and/or pharmaceuticals
  • Strategic thinking capabilities evidenced by successful delivery of projects in a previous marketing role or in an educational role
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally
  • Solutions mind-set
  • Accountable and assertive with a strong personal drive
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage business complexity and multiple priorities at one time. Record of delivering projects to tight deadlines.
  • Results driven approach and a desire to use digital analytics to inform the future
  • Educated to degree level, preferably in business or marketing or healthcare background
  • Experience in planning and executing events
  • Experience in customised customer journeys through use of multiple channels and customer segmentation
  • Experience in developing tools with KOLs within medical devices (ideally medical consumables) and/or pharmaceuticals
