In addition we are seeking someone who is influential, analytical, results focussed and who can work collaboratively with our commissioners, stakeholders and partners.


We are looking for an outstanding individual open to top level direction to help develop the knowledge and performance of our teams in the regions; who can support and collaborate across our different organisational divisions and lead to promote the delivery of high quality clinical care.


You will be responsible for the quality of clinical services provided by doctors within our services in the Midlands – to lead with integrity and to build trusting relationships.

It will be part of your remit to focus on improving the patient experience, enhancing coproduction principles, overseeing the leadership of doctors and ensuring that the best professional standards are achieved.  You will ensure we provide high quality, sustainable services across the care pathway, to enable us to provide compassionate and respectful care to the patients and residents entrusted to us.


Overall you will play a pivotal role in delivering the mission, vision and values of the company.


Our Regional Medical Director…


  • Has experience in a similar leadership roles
  • Will be an experienced, credible medical leader and has the ability to bridge & work closely with clinical and non-clinical professionals
  • Is very knowledgeable in professional regulation and evidence-based practice
  • Understands how to use data to improve quality, performance and growth
  • Holds full GMC registration and is on the Specialist Register
  • Demonstrates strategic leadership skills with a focus on retention
  • Should be an excellent communicator and will be an advocate of Cygnet core values
  • Must be flexible with travel and hold a valid driving licence.
