Who we are

Critical Care International (CCI) is a UK-based company delivering remote healthcare to the highest medical and ethical standards for organisations operating in the world’s most challenging environments. 

Our guiding philosophy is to deliver high quality healthcare for those working in remote and austere environments, often in resource-poor countries. CCI also works closely with clients to deliver ethical, evidence-based and sustainable development projects in communities surrounding their operations.  

 Over the past year CCI has been instrumental in helping organisations manage the challenges of COVID-19 globally, providing regular briefings and project specific recommendations as well as healthcare provision and management on large mining sites. 

 

The opportunity

The work is varied and includes but is not limited to:

  • running on site clinics
  • training locally employed healthcare professionals
  • advising on Occupational Health best practice
  • running awareness campaigns
  • advising on maternal health
  • wellness campaigns
  • community education projects
  • primary care
  • management of medical emergencies prior to medical evacuation

Clinical support and governance is provided by a panel of specialty experts, alongside our operations team. 

Deployments are on a 6 week rotational basis. 

Who we’re looking for

We offer a variety of deployed roles for doctors who are responsible for primary care, emergency response and occupational health services as well as community development projects. 

We are looking for doctors with:

  • 3+ years post qualification experience 
  • Preferably some experience in resource poor settings
  • Language skills are an advantage; particularly French
  • Doctors from across the world who are fluent in English

 

Salary & Benefits

Salaries vary on experience but start at £210 per day.

All travel, accommodation, food and expenses are paid. We also support career development training.
