The role 

What is Diagnostics at H&B?

Diagnostics is all about enabling consumers to have better insight into their own health data through testing.

This is a brand new function which sits in the newly established Science and Business unit at H&B. We are undergoing a transformative change in a bid to reach a growing market within wellness.

By offering a wider service, we hope to continue to personalise wellness for all and create a much stronger platform for our consumers.

The diagnostics team will work on how diagnostics can be embedded within new propositions and develop the longer term roadmap.


Diagnostics General Manager (GM)

For this role we are looking for an experienced entrepreneur/ex-Founder/ex-Business Unit Leader to run this part of the company.

This role is for someone who has scaled from scratch before, whether in a start-up or in a larger company, and is interested in another round of building and scaling, with the benefits of a trusted brand, significant resources and reliable infrastructure.

Incentives will be tailored for this unique role in terms of risk and reward.

As a GM, you’ll be responsible for establishing and growing a Diagnostics proposition within H&B and unlocking the full commercial potential by:

  • Creating the business plan for diagnostics and the associated services
  • Mobilising the diagnostics proposition
  • Building and owning a Diagnostics P&L, whilst driving ambitious month-on-month growth in key metrics
  • Scaling the Diagnostics team

You will be reporting directly to Dr. Taran Toor in his role as Director of New Wellness Propositions & Partnerships.


Who are we looking for?

Being a doctor is not a hard prerequisite for this role but it is thought that the nuanced understanding a clinician may bring will be highly beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have built a company before. Ideally an entrepreneur at heart and in practice, you will be interested in creating a global business line on a stable platform. .

  • A proven track record of delivery in a startup, scale-up, or own business unit of a larger company (vs potential)
  • A digital product leader/builder – comfortable working hand-in-hand with product and engineering teams
  • Plugged into recent and emerging market trends in the wellness services landscape
  • Energised by the idea of building and scaling something new – comfortable working in a dynamic, shifting environment
  • Strong stakeholder management – comfortable building relationships with senior H&B leaders in related areas (e.g. Commercial, Marketing)

Appetite to start small and grow a proposition – incentivisation package to reflect the risk/reward
