The roles

H&B are hiring for 2 roles:

  • Diagnostics Proposition Manager
  • Journey Diagnostics Proposition Manager

What is Diagnostics?

Diagnostics is all about enabling consumers to have better insight into their own health data through testing.

Diagnostics is a brand new function which sits in the newly established Science and Business unit at H&B. We are undergoing a transformative change in a bid to reach a growing market within wellness.

By offering a wider service, we hope to continue to personalise wellness for all and create a much stronger platform for our consumers.

The diagnostics team will work to under how diagnostics can be embedded within new propositions and develop the longer term roadmap


Diagnostics Proposition Manager

This role is responsible for developing the end-to-end diagnostics proposition and deploying diagnostics services and capabilities across H&B. 

  • Creating a strategy for how diagnostics can be developed as a proposition and embedded into H&B service offerings 
  • Creating a roadmap to determine the roll out plan, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and target metrics 
  • Supporting the launch of the diagnostics into each Journey (narrow segment market), then refining the proposition based on feedback 
  • Working with the partnerships team to identify partners
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress against KPIs
  • Business Partner to support the understanding and usage of diagnostics across the wider business

This is a broad intrapreneurial generalist role.


Journeys Diagnostics Proposition Manager

This is a crucial role in deploying diagnostics into a key business area working closely with the central Diagnostics Team to deliver for Journeys. 

Bringing experience of working in tech and your passion for health & wellness you will be responsible for the end-to-end proposition for bringing diagnostics to life in selected health journeys such as gut health, sleep and menopause.

Creative and innovative you will not be afraid of pushing boundaries, testing new concepts and showcasing these to stakeholders in a compelling way but most of all have a passion for improving consumers wellbeing.

  • Working with to the central Diagnostics Team to understand how diagnostics can be embedded within the new end-to-end digital wellness Journeys 
  • Creating an initial roadmap with the Journeys product team to determine the roll out and the objectives and key results (OKRs) and target metrics 
  • Working across the Journeys content and product teams to develop the digital proposition via the app 
  • Launching the diagnostics pillar into each Journey, understanding customer reaction and sentiment, identifying what works and what needs to be improved 
  • Developing longer term roadmaps for diagnostics in Journeys
  • Identifying how diagnostics can create greater ‘stickiness’ within journeys and encourage users to take up more than one journey 
  • Working with the partnerships team to identify further partners in a broader ecosystem, to grow and scale service offers for each Journey

This role focuses more on the narrow market segment and would suit someone who is particularly interested in gut health, menopause or sleep.

On-going support and on-the-job training will be offered for both roles. 


Who are we looking for?

Doctors who can work with real autonomy and are self-starters.

Being a doctor is not a hard prerequisite for this role but it is thought that the nuanced understanding a clinician may bring will be highly beneficial.

Both these roles may appeal to anyone from junior doctor level to post CCT who has demonstrated some history of consumer wellness and health/digital tech.

Having an understanding of diagnostics, their application and being able to communicate this across the product and commercial teams is also important.

Other key skills include:

  • Stakeholder management – ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Creative and innovative – not afraid of pushing boundaries and testing new concepts 
  • Team player with experience of breaking down silos and creating shared visions
  • Operational experience of managing multiple logistical components and teams is preferable
  • A strong understanding of the complexities of diagnostic testing – from legal and regulatory concerns, to clinical considerations, logistical and data management challenges

Other desirable (but not essential) skills may include:

  • Recent completion an MBA/Masters around health tech or experience in medtech.
  • Worked in a b2c testing company or worked for a previous health-tech company


Salary + Work Arrangements

The salary is competitive depending on your previous experience.

Both roles are full time with the possibility of 1 day a fortnight to allow for clinical work.

The roles are remote with travel about 4-6 times a year to Nuneaton in the West Midlands.
