The role

Thriva are seeking an ambitious doctor to help ensure they deliver an outstanding service, specifically:

  • Manage clinical tasks essential to the effective day to day running of the service. This includes dealing with urgent results, and assisting non-clinical staff in responding to clinical queries from consumers and specialists.
  • Oversee clinical audits and other quality improvement activities to ensure that we are working in a safe and efficient way.
  • Plan team objectives in the short and medium term and work closely with the wider team to coordinate and deliver specific projects.
  • Support clinical operations team in divisional planning through proactively identifying issues, opportunities and resource gaps.
  • Effectively driving alignment between company goals and the teams priorities.
  • Help ensure our clinical content is as credible, helpful and patient-friendly as possible.
  • Review clients’ blood tests and ensuring appropriate written interpretation of results.
  • Responsible for the success and delivery of individuals within the team.

You will be working closely with the Head of Clinical Operations who is a GP by background.

Who are they looking for?

Thriva are seeking a GMC registered doctor who is excited about entering the world of startups and open to new ways of working with the following attributes:

  • License to practice – registered with a designated body for appraisals
  • Completed Foundation training
  • Excellent clinical acumen and problem solving skills
  • Ability to lead on safeguarding, clinical governance processes, managing risk & taking ownership of clinical problems
  • Enjoys writing with excellent written English
  • Strong organisational skills: known for proactively finding new ways of organising and improving processes.
  • In addition to these, any experience in the following would be beneficial for this specific role:
    • Copywriting experience
    • Expertise or interest in Nutritional Science, Fitness, Wellness or Longevity
    • Project management and/or leadership
    • Managing teams


Work Arrangements

We welcome applications for candidates seeking part time hours as we are able to consider job share arrangements for this role. Minimum of 2 days per week, as well as on a 4 or 5 days per week basis for full time.

During the pandemic they are working from home 100% of the time. Outside of this, there are flexible working options between the home and the office which is based near Farringdon/ Old Street Stations
