We’re beginning to see more power to the people. If the government is willing to start compromising that’s a good sign and a tribute to the power of lobbying en masse and the threat of potential strike action.

In the BBC News, Hunt agreed to meet with the BMA, after announcing that they would be asking members if they wanted to take action.

He has offered to cede some ground over unsociable hours payments, which is a good start in the battle for doctors getting a fair days pay for work carried out.
